The Experience

Arrival & Welcome

Upon arrival at the spa, I was asked to complete a consultation form, which the therapist reviewed thoroughly before the session. I was then shown to the stunning changing rooms, equipped with lockers, fluffy bathrobes, disposable underwear, and slippers. The attention to detail was impressive, with additional amenities such as a steam room, showers, and a wide array of toiletries.

Although I didn’t use the steam room, it’s a great option for those looking to unwind before their treatment.

The Treatment Room

The treatment room was dimly lit, with a serene ambiance that immediately set a relaxing tone. The massage bed was comfortable and well-prepared with soft linens.

The Massage

The session began with a soothing foot wash using a beautiful copper bowl, which I found to be a unique touch. The therapist used warm towels and a gentle scrub to cleanse my feet before starting the massage.

The Oberoi Signature Massage incorporated Ayurvedic-inspired strokes and the use of warmed kasa bowls to help relieve muscular tension. The therapist used rhythmic, soothing strokes to work through areas of tightness, ensuring a deeply relaxing experience.

Relaxation doesn’t come easily to me, but this treatment was exceptional. I even nodded off a couple of times – a rare occurrence for me – which speaks volumes about how effective the massage was.

Post-Treatment

After the massage, I was given ample time to change and freshen up. I was then offered a pot of herbal tea, which I enjoyed while chatting with the spa manager. It was clear that the staff took great pride in creating an exceptional spa experience for every guest.
